Colours can have a tremendous psychological effect on people, their work and their mood. In a control room environment the right colour choice is critical to ensure that signals and messages can be appropriately prioritised. Jacquelene Symond is the Principal at The Colour Agency and a colour specialist specifically trained in the field of applied colour psychology and the human response to colour.

Jacquelene will be addressing the audience at the 2014 Control Room Design & Operations conference.  Her talk will give attendees an understanding of the science of colour in control room design. The presentation will cover the fundamentals of brain functions and how they can impact on performance. Jacquelene will also talk about defining colour design goals for different types of control room environment.

Jacquelene’s professional goal is to use colour in a more effective way to create user-supportive environments through the “educated” application of colour.

She commenced her “formal” training in various modalities of colour applications over 10 years ago with the International School of Colour and Design in Sydney.
