[polldaddy poll=7404994]

Health Technology Assessment (HTA) is a multidisciplinary field of policy analysis studying the medical, economic, social and ethical implications of development, diffusion and use of health technology. HTA encapsulates a range of processes and mechanisms that use scientific evidence to assess the quality, safety, efficacy/performance, effectiveness and cost effectiveness of health interventions. HTA processes are commonly applied to medical devices and medical procedures, pharmaceuticals (including vaccines) and to public health interventions, in order to inform both regulatory and public funding decisions. [1]
