Financing and delivering transport infrastructure projects remains one of the main challenges for the transport industry. At the NT Transport Infrastructure Summit, Phil McKeiver, Partner for Construction & Infrastructure, Energy & Resources at Gilbert & Tobin Lawyers will draw on nearly 20 years’ experience as a corporate and projects lawyer in private practice, government and major corporations including Telstra and Mitsubishi to help attendees gain a better understanding of what makes a successful project. His talk will cover commercial and legal foundations as well as some tips and traps for new players.

Advising the Civic Nexus Consortium on the $500 Million Spencer Station Redevelopment PPP (now called Southern Cross Station) in Victoria.
Advising Railtrack plc on the $2 Billion Channel Tunnel Rail Link PPP.
Advising National Express Ltd on a Victorian Government PPP for the provision of passenger rolling stock.
Advising Oakajee Port and Rail and Mitsubishi on design, construction, procurement, financing, project delivery, approvals, regulation and State
Prior to joining Gilbert + Tobin in February 2013, Phil was General Counsel & Company Secretary at Oakajee Port & Rail, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi.
Phil is a graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a member of the Infrastructure Standing Committee of the WA Chamber of Minerals and Energy. He is also a non-executive director of a not-for-profit company.
Phil has a Bachelor of Civil Laws (Honours) (Master’s Degree by coursework) from the University of Oxford, UK which he completed on a Chevening Scholarship.
