Established in Australia in 2006, Vossloh Australia purchased the railway products division of Thompsons Kelly & Lewis Pty. Ltd. Thompsons Kelly & Lewis’ history in the railway industry extends back almost 150 years. To this day, the Vossloh’s Headquarters and one production site are still located on the same grounds in Castlemaine. VCA’s main business is the design and manufacture of turnouts and turnout componentry. VCA are leading experts in turnout design, with the Castlemaine headquarters employing engineers with a combined 150 years’ turnout design experience.
Our scope of services includes complex design for dual gauge rail and diamonds, through to performing Wheel Rail Interfacing and Finite Element Analysis.
On the production side, VCA has 2 turnout production facilities within Australia, one in Castlemaine, Victoria which supplies the east coast and South Australia, and one in Kewdale in Western Australia, which supplies the west coast of Australia.

Salix is an Australian owned and operated rail business engaged in the design and supply of railway products throughout Australia and multiple international markets.
