Bert Koth is a Director of Denham Capital, responsible for origination, analysis, structuring and execution of investments for the Metals & Minerals Deal Team. He joined Denham in 2008.
Denham Capital focuses its investments in three sectors: Oil & Gas, Metals & Minerals, and Power & Renewables. It is an energy and resources private equity firm with over $7 billion in invested and committed funds.
Prior to joining Denham, Bert worked at BHP Billiton, ING Barings, and Deutsche Bank. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mining Ventures, Trans-Tasman Resources, Tremont, Stellar Mining and Santiago Metals.
Bert received a graduate degree and a PhD in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics, Austria. He speaks English, German, French, Spanish and Russian.
Bert has presented at a number of forums including Mines and Money 2013 in Hong Kong and Coal Trans Australia 2013 in Brisbane.
Bert Koth is also a speaker at the upcoming Private Equity & Mining Conference on the 23-24 September 2013 in Perth. He will be speaking about alternative funding sources available in the current climate and the benefits of PE and private ownership.
