With 30 per cent of the world’s mineral resources, Africa’s ability to feed the global economy’s demand for raw materials is vast.
Multi-billion dollar mining developments are in the pipeline for Southern and West African countries, however, to capitalise on this incredible opportunity it is vital that commodities are moved from pit-to-port as quickly and efficiently as possible and that current railway infrastructure deficiencies are rectified.
Heavy Haul Rail Africa 2014 will cover all the relevant issues including government and resource sector perspectives on future developments in heavy haul rail infrastructure, opportunities to source relevant funding, regulatory progress, challenges in planning and construction, rolling stock requirements, maintenance and capacity enhancement. In the lead up to the event, we have made some of the presentations from last year’s conference available for download.
